REC Shipping Information
During checkout you will see that "Shipping costs are calculated at the time the order ships". Shipping costs as well as any Federal Excise Taxes or Sales tax are all calculated at the time your order is prepared for shipment. REC ships many different size products from extremely small snake guides to 72" rod cases all around the world. There is no algorithm that will estimate this cost in a fair way. When your order is ready to be shipped our shipping department will consider shipping costs using UPS, Fedex and USPS. We chose the safest cost-effective option on your behalf. Shipping is not a profit center for REC. We simply pass along out costs to the customer.
International shipping is done by UPS or Fedex unless otherwise requested by phone or e-mail.
Rod cases & large or heavy items may require additional shipping charges.
REC regularly ships orders worldwide. Delivery charges vary when shipping internationally. Duties and taxes are the responsibility of the buyer. Call or e-mail for shipping cost quotes and estimated delivery times for international shipments.
Traditional lead times on all non-commercial orders varies from 2-3 weeks depending on order size and the nature of the order.
Expedited shipping options are available. Please call REC to discuss possible shipping timelines and associated costs.
All orders are shipped without shipping insurance (or a specified declared value). If you would like to quote shipping insurance or declare a value for your order, please notify REC before your order is placed. Any shipping damage, lost shipments or claims to be filed (with the shipping vendor), are the responsibility of the buyer.
My order was lost or damaged during shipment. What do I do?
It is possible that your order shipment is lost or damaged when being shipped to its destination. Occurrences like this are rare but can happen. All orders shipped from REC Components are packaged extremely safely inside and out. The first thing you should do is photograph/document what was received as well as any damaged or missing goods.
If this happens please understand that it is not the responsibility of REC to send a replacement order free of charge. Once your order is shipped from our facility it is considered FOB (Freight On Board) and REC is no longer the owner or liable for these goods. We will help provide you the necessary information to file a claim and pass along any reimbursed funds received by REC on your behalf. It is also very likely you will not be compensated for the entire cost of your order. What we can do is help expedite a replacement order. REC Return Policy
In the uncommon instance where a product return is necessary. Please call (860) 749-3476 to request a return authorization number and please provide the order number from which you are returning items. Returns without authorization cannot be accepted. Product returns require receipt within 30 days of shipment. Returns will be accepted if items are in original, unused / unaltered condition only.
A restocking charge of 15% will be assessed on all returned goods which are accepted.

Does REC.com Share the Information It Receives? We DO NOT share or sell our customer information.
